lE Business School (Instituto de Empresa), Casa Árabe and the King Abdulaziz University from Saudi Arabia organize, June 16th and 17th, an international seminar Beyond the Crisis: Islamic Finance in the New Financial Order.

Video of the conference held in Madrid on Wednesday 28th April, as part of the cycle "Human Development and Knowledge Society in Arab countries". 

The Arabic Language Center open its registration period for intensive and semi-intensive courses that will take place during July. 

Arab countries, as many other regions in the world, have been affected by the international economic crisis.

Round table to close the course Islam and Muslims: historical dimension and contemporary dynamics, organized by Casa Árabe and the Spanish Diplomatic School (Escuela Diplomática).

From May 3rd to 31st, Casa Árabe will display in Vigo this cinema series in which Arab and American directors try to see each other, to get to know and to get an interpretation through diverse perspectives, which include references to History, identity, soccer, politics or marginalization, among other topics.

This exhibition, April 29th to May 30th, brings closer through antique photographs and traditional costumes the history of the city of Jerusalem. The photographs, most of them from the first two decades of the 20th Century, belong to the photographic archive of the École Biblique et Archéologique Française.

Casa Árabe shows the documentary-fiction film Expelled: 1609. The Tragedy of Moriscos (Expulsados 1609. La tragedia de los moriscos) on Friday 21st and 28th May.

Casa Árabe and Escuela Diplomática (the Diplomatic School) organize this course, co-directed by Gema Martín Muñoz, Casa Árabe's general director, and José Mª Ferré de la Peña, Special Ambassador for Relations with Muslim Communities and Organizations Abroad. It will take place from 5th May to 1st June.

In the frame of the Arabesques Festival, which takes place in Montpellier, Casa Árabe projects shows on May 20th May the documentary-fiction film Expelled: 1609. The Tragedy of Moriscos, produced by Casa Árabe to mark the fourth century of the Moriscos' expulsion
