On Thursday, October 24 at its Madrid headquarters, Casa Árabe is presenting this report completed by Save the Children, about the impact of violence on youths in Iraq, Egypt, Jordan and Yemen.

The event will be presented by Pedro Martínez-Avial, the General Director of Casa Árabe, and Aina Calvo, the Director of the AECID. It will include interventions by David del Campo, Director of International Cooperation and Humanitarian Aid at Save de Children; Natalia Tapies, Regional Senior Program Advisor, Adolescents and Youth, Middle East, at Save the Children, and Ignacio Álvarez-Ossorio, Director of the Inter-University Institute of Social Development and Peace at the University of Alicante.

This is a comprehensive participatory study that included 331 adolescents of both genders between the ages of 12 and 17 from Iraq, Egypt, Jordan and Yemen, to understand their needs and priorities.

The report finds that the vast majority of adolescents in all age groups, genders and locations are exposed to high levels of violence in every arena of their lives.
