Amer saw Raghda for the first time in prison twenty years ago. Somebody had beat her up, and her face was covered in blood. They started to speak to each other through a small hole they bore into the wall separating their cells. They fell in love, and when they got out of jail, they formed a family. In 2009, Raghda was put back in prison for political reasons, and Amer had to take care of their four children on his own. This exile breaks the couple’s relationship down, driving them into a fragile situation that forces them to choose between love, revolution and family.
