Jerusalem at the beginning of the 21st Century

From April 07, 2010 until May 30, 2010

This exhibition, April 29th to May 30th, brings closer through antique photographs and traditional costumes the history of the city of Jerusalem. The photographs, most of them from the first two decades of the 20th Century, belong to the photographic archive of the École Biblique et Archéologique Française.

The traditional costumes, from the personal collection of Spanish Ambassador Juan Durán-Lóriga, allow the admiration of the rich embroidery techniques from the different regions of Palestine, characterized by the use of bright colours within difficult geometric designs and floral forms.

At the Museum of Jaen. Tuesday, 14.30 to 20.30; Wednesday to Saturday, 9.00 to 20.30; Sunday and public holidays 9.00 to 14.30.
