Wa Habibi: Syria, 2012-2015. Photographs by Carole Alfarah

From September 07, 2017 until October 11, 2017
BARCELONA
Casa Elizalde (at Carrer València, 302).

The exhibition has come to Barcelona with the cooperation of IEMed and Casa Elizalde, after being presented at Casa Árabe’s headquarters in Madrid and Cordoba, within the framework of the Cordoba Photography Biennial.

The exhibition “Wa Habibi” (Oh, My Love) includes a selection of images by Syrian photographer Carole Alfarah, taken from 2012 through 2015 on a series of trips to the country which the photographer was forced to leave. None of these photographs shows the different sides in the war, the weapons, violence or exile; they simply show, with a sensitivity beyond normal, a human condition altered in times of conflict, silent and tenacious.
