Concert of the “Great Band of World Music”

Musicians of great prestige from Iran, India, Norway, Sweden, Senegal, Morocco and Venezuela  make up this band, which will be performing for the first time ever in Madrid on the dates of October 30 and 31.

This initiative has been promoted by the World Music Norwegian Orchestra with the cooperation of the Persépolis Cultural Center, which has been promoting intercultural events in Spain for over a decade.

Some of its most notable guests include performers such as Iranian santur master Javid Afsari (director of the Rumi Ensemble), Norwegian saxophone player Trygve Seim, Senegalese singer and kora player Solo Cissokho, violinist Harpreet Bansal from India, and Morocco’s Aissa Tobi, a specialist in the traditional instruments known as the sintir and rabab.
