Casa Árabe and the Mediterranean European Institute (IEMed) jointly produced this reading guide, which includes a significant – not exhaustive – selection of recent titles in the Catalan language about the Arab and Islamic world. It follows the example of Casa Árabe’s One Thousand and One Books.
More than 250 works are reviewed, grouped by category: essay, literature, language, travel and gastronomy. They reveal the substantial amount of published material available, evidence of growing interest among readers and publishers in Catalan about Arab and related matters. -
For the third year running, Casa Árabe publishes this reading guide, which summarises more than 550 works grouped by subject – essay, narrative, poetry, Arabic language, travel, cookery, comic and art. It includes a special section on the Moriscos to mark the fourth centenary of their expulsion from Spain.

This new reading guide published in June 2008 aims to help make important works and new publications related to the Arab and Islamic world more widely known. It summarises more than 500 recent works, grouped by subject: historical, social and political studies by region, literature, Arabic language, travel, cookery and music. The print run is 20,000 copies.

Casa Árabe’s second reading guide was published in January 2008 in electronic format and in paper form. It summarises 76 readings for children and young people through which the reader can approach the Arab world.

The guide aims to help important works and new publications about the Arab and Islamic world become more widely known. It summarises a representative selection of recent works, grouped by subject: introduction to Islam and the Arab world, essays, literature, Arab language and travel.

By publishing this work, Casa Árabe joined in setting up the Hispano-Moroccan Arbitration Court, which provides economic agencies from both countries an instrument for increasing juridical security and mutual confidence in their relations.
