From May 2 to 14, Casa Árabe will be opening its courtyard doors to the
public, its way of participating once again in this celebration,
considered a World Heritage event by UNESCO. We are extending our
opening hours from Monday to Friday and will be open on weekends.
For yet another year, Casa Árabe is taking part in the Cordoba's Festival of Patios, as a non-competing participant, to be held in the city from May 2 to 14. At this edition, we are expanding our headquarters’ opening times for visitors from Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 4:30 to 10:00 p.m. As an exception we will be opening on the weekends of May 6, 7 and 13 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 6:00 to 10:00 pm (Sunday, May 14 until 8:30 pm).
The Casa Mudéjar building consists of a set of five different houses linked together by corridors, passageways and stairwells, with four courtyards (three of which can be visited) and a turret. The original building dates back to the fourteenth century, though most of the current structures are from the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries. It is located within the southern part of Cordoba’s Historical Center near the Mosque-Cathedral, within the area declared to be a World Heritage Site.
For this occasion, visitors will get the chance to enjoy an artistic performance inside one of our headquarters’ courtyards, given by artists Almudena Castillejo, Ayoub Abid (NORMAL), Clara Gómez Campos and Mohamed Touirs (ED Oner).
Spain’s National Heritage Entity has assigned this historical building to Casa Árabe for use as its headquarters in Cordoba.
