Continue learning Arabic from home during our closure

From March 20, 2020 until April 01, 2020
Casa Árabe headquarters (at Calle Alcalá, 62.).

Our Arabic Language Center classes will be given online during the suspension of public activities.

The new course period will start on April 1, as planned. For as long as the authorities extend the period of institutional closures and we are unable to give the courses in person, the classes will be taught online by teachers from the center via Skype. As soon as it becomes possible, our live courses will resume in the classroom. The goal is for students to be able to continue their course of study and learn Arabic, even if they must do so from the home.
The teachers will remain in contact with their students by email in order to coordinate all issues involved in holding the classes. Students must have a computer with a camera and speakers to get online from home, as well as downloading the Skype app so that they can join the classes with the teacher and all of their classmates. Resources and materials will be shared as always, using the students' private online area in the Arabic Language Center's digital platform.

All those students who were unable to take their final exams for the second quarter because their class was suspended will be able to take them online with their teachers, as well, and register for the third quarter before the classes begin. Those who want to take advantage of this time to begin or continue learning Arabic can complete their online registration until March 31.

The format of on-line classes won´t be able to apply to Arabic children courses. Given the extension of the State of Alarm by the Government and the uncertainty about which will be the final date when public activities will be resumed in Casa Árabe, the application process for Arabic children courses will be postponed and those payments already done returned. As soon as activities will be resumed, the application process will reopen. According to that date, classes will be rescheduled as well, either covering them with extra hours or extending the school calendar accordingly. In the coming weeks, following the evolution of events, further information will be provided in this regard.
