Madrid’s Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services has organized this online conference on November 8 to analyze opportunities and offer recommendations for doing business in Saudi Arabia, with representatives of companies and investment groups that have experience in that country. You may now register.
Saudi Arabia is the largest economy in the Middle East, with one of the highest standards of living in the region and a GDP per capita of approximately €23,586. According to the IMF, growth forecasts for 2022 are 4.8%. The large public works programs carried out by the government and its solid banking and financial system have made the country highly appealing to foreign companies in the region.
Saudi Arabia’s current goal is to reduce its dependence on oil by creating new diversified sectors that will position the country as one of the main global investment powers. To achieve this, it has its “Outlook 2030” development plan, through which it expects investments valuing 360billion euros up to 2025, in a series of sectors which provide investment opportunities. The top priority sectors are: construction, health, pharmaceuticals, defense, the automotive industry, tourism and financial institutions, in addition to others. The political and commercial relations between Spain and Saudi Arabia are excellent, and it is Spain’s number one customer in the region.
During this day of events, there will be a presentation of the development plans and opportunities offered by Saudi Arabia, with recommendations for doing business there. It will include one session on legal and fiscal aspects, and another on successful experiences of Spanish companies in the country.
