The event will include talks by Mohamed El-Madkouri Maataoui, a linguist and translator from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM), Carmen Ruiz Bravo-Villasante, a retired professor of Modern Arabic Literature and Thought at the UAM and director of CantArabia publishing firm, Bernabé López García, retired professor of Arab and Islamic Studies at the UAM and a specialist on the Maghreb region; Víctor Morales Lezcano, an historian, professor emeritus at the UNED and member of Spain’s Royal Academy of History, and Abdelkhalak Najmi, with a PhD from the UAM, a Hispanist and translator.

The presentation will be introduced by Karim Hauser, Casa Árabe’s Culture and International Relations Coordinator, with moderation by Teresa Pereira Rodríguez, from the Diwan publishing firm, holder of a bachelor’s degree in Modern and Contemporary History from the UAM.
