The Mediterranean Rio Bravo. Border regions on a globalization era

From October 24, 2011 until November 02, 2011

On November 2nd, Casa Árabe hosts the launch of the book El Río Bravo Mediterráneo. Las regiones fronterizas en la época de la globalización [The Mediterranean Rio Bravo. Border regions on a globalization era], edited by Natalia Ribas and with contributions from more than thirty authors.

This work draws various analogies between the Mediterranean and the Mexican-US border region, a topic which is not new but that has rarely been tackled so systematically and from such different areas: the cultural relations, people’s mobility, the role of the border space, the walls or human rights.

The launch will take place at Casa Árabe’s Auditorium in Madrid (c/ Alcalá, 62) at 19.30. Free entrance.
