“Two Stories, One Path,” a concert by Hamid Ajbar Flamenco Fusion

In conjunction with the Fourteenth White Night of Flamenco in Cordoba, we have organized this late-night concert on Saturday, June 18.

Hamid Ajbar Flamenco Fusion was founded in Granada in 2016 by Moroccan-born singer Hamid Ajbar. The project was created with the idea of delving into Moorish-Arab music and flamenco, discovering their shared history while creating an authentic fusion between both traditions.

The show Two Stories, One Path is a meeting of music and dance between two cultures, Moorish-Arab and flamenco. Though they first arose in different eras, they have coincided in terms of the time and place where both were marginalized. This show combines the depth of flamenco singing with the lyrical poetry of Andalusian “moaxajas” and “zejels” put to Eastern rhythms, accompanied by the beauty and passion of flamenco dance.
