As part of the sixteenth SCIENCE WEEK, the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid has organized a workshop on Spanish / Arabic / English translation

After an introduction to the importance of Cervantes and Don Quixote in the Arabic and English-speaking worlds, we will be delving (with the help of teacher-translators and students) into pages of the novel on the basis of four of its most important translations (from the most classical to the most innovative) into Arabic and English. Participation by the audience (which will have been given photocopies of the texts in advance) is essential.

The workshop has been coordinated by: Rosa-Isabel Martínez, Javier Ortiz, Francisco Godoy, Natalia Martínez, Lorenza Petit, Abd Al-Hamid Znaidi, Talaat Shahin, María Cristina Gutiérrez
