Casa Árabe at Architecture Week in Madrid

You can sign up for these tours as of September 21 by going to the website http://www.esmadrid.com/semanaarquitectura or by going to the COAM headquarters (at Calle Hortaleza, 63) during its opening times from Monday-Friday, 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. and 4:00-8:00 p.m.

Starting on September 21, you can sign up for one of two guided tours of
the Casa Árabe building that will be given in the month of October as
part of that event.
For yet another year, Casa Árabe is taking part in “Architecture Week,” organized by the Official Architects’ Association of Madrid (COAM), the Embassy of Germany and the Municipal Government of Madrid. At this, its twelfth edition, a full schedule of cultural activities will be put on that are open to participation by all people.
Guided tours of the Casa Árabe building, in the Neo-Mudéjar style, will be taking place on Saturday, October 3 and Saturday, October 10 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. You may sign up for these tours as of September 21.
Presented on this occasion as a guest city is Berlin, which, like Madrid, has played an important role in the significant urban transformations recently taking place. For instance, urban regeneration projects will be displayed with the participation of architects who carry out their work in both cities, with all of the scheduled activities having two capital cities as a dual point of reference: Madrid and Berlin. The activities will revolve around the following topics:
• Architecture and heritage
• Social housing, past and present
• City and urban landscape
• Sustainability and ecology
Moreover, activities will be organized for children, along with special screenings and the “Pop Arq Store” product design fair, all related with the topic of Architecture.
