For the first time ever, the institution is taking part in this literary gathering, as a guest invited by the country's authorities.
From May 7 to 13, the Abu Dhabi Book Fair is taking place, with participation by Casa Árabe for the first time ever, as a guest invited by the country’s authorities.
The institution will have a stand of its own (11E35) in the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, where it will provide information on its work and main fields of activity, as well as its most notable publications, which are published in Spanish, English and Arabic.
In 2015, the 25th edition of this literary gathering was held, devoted on this occasion to the memory of Sheikh Zayed as Cultural Personage of the Year, with talks, exhibitions and poetry readings. At the same time, the country on which the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair (ADIBF) is focusing this year is Iceland, and therefore the public which attends the fair will be able to enjoy the rich literary scene of the westernmost European country, thanks to the works by a wide range of poets, novelists, illustrators and scholars. Last of all, for the first time ADIBF 2015 will be welcoming illustrious Egyptian novelist Sonallah Ibrahim, as well as American writer Cynthia Bond.
The fair will remain open every day from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., except Fridays, when it opens from 4:00 to 10:00 p.m.
