From May 4-17, the patios are open from Monday through Friday, 11:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Performance on Wednesday, May 6 at 6:30 p.m. Free entrance until the event’s capacity is reached.The performance will last one hour and is open to the entire public.

Casa Árabe is opening the doors to its inner patios and is offering a theatrical performance to show off Cordoba's historical heritage: "Gitanilla, the Fairy of Cordoba's Patios".

For yet another year, Casa Árabe is taking part in the Cordoba Festival of Patios, as a non-competing participant, to be held from May 4-17 in the city. At this edition, besides opening its doors to visitors Monday through Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., the institution is organizing a participatory performance about Cordoba’s historical heritage based on the story “Gitanilla, the Fairy of Cordoba’s Patios,” by José Sabalete. The performance is being held on Wednesday, May 6 at 6:30 p.m.

Gitanilla - patios Córdoba 2015 “Gitanilla” embodies the magic people feel when they enter the Patios of Cordoba. It is a lovely adventure through more than 2,000 years of history, forged by a melting pot of cultures and civilizations that have built the world we have come to know today.

The Patios of Cordoba are the magical thread that has managed to tie together the best of all these cultures to form a city, lifestyle and way of understanding life that places the utmost importance on happiness, beauty, peace and quiet, enjoying the senses and peaceful co-existence...

The Patios have a magical ambience that draws in all the people who have the luck of getting to experience them. These virtues and values have even received the acknowledgment of UNESCO, which has made Cordoba and its Patios into a World Heritage Site.
