The best projects by Spanish architecture firms and studios developed in Arab countries.

Taking place on December 17 is the official opening of the exhibition “On a Journey: Spanish architecture in the Arab world,” organized by the Embassy of Spain in Kuwait and the School of Architecture at the University of Kuwait. The very day of the opening, architect Carlos Lamela is offering a conference to students, and after this, two Spanish architects whose projects are represented at the exhibition (César Ruiz-Larrea and the studio AGi Architects), with projects in Kuwait, are taking part in a round table discussion held at the School of Architecture

This exhibition, organized by Casa Árabe with the cooperation of the Superior Council of Architects of Spain (CSCAE), displays projects by Spanish architecture firms and studios carried out in Arab countries, which you can consult in full detail by following this link. It is the result of some fine examples of the successful work done towards internationalization, making a huge contribution to positioning and strengthening the Spain Brand abroad.

Amongst those shown in this exhibition, it will be possible to view projects by well-known architectural studios such as Nieto Sobejano, Fenwick Irribarren, Lamela, César Ruiz Larrea, Rafael de la Hoz and Campo Baeza, alongside another series of younger studios which have committed to internationalization in the Arab world, as is the case of AGi Architects, Hadit and AV62. Also represented are some of the most important Spanish engineering firms: Alatec, Sener, Idom and TYPSA, all with a presence in the Arab world for several decades.

The exhibition can be seen at the University of Kuwait’s School of Architecture (The Auditorium, Room 119). Sabah Al-Salem University City, Kuwait
