Casa Árabe and the High Royal School of the Dramatic Arts of Madrid (RESAD) are cooperating to present this dramatized reading on Tuesday, May 7.

Taking advantage of the presence of the text’s author, Islamologist Rachid Benzine, the reading will be performed by actors Javier Lago and Vicky Zazo, and directed by Christos Sidiropoulos, a fourth-year student of stage arts at RESAD.

The adaptation of Rachid Benzine’s novel is an epistolary theatrical work which tells about the exchanges between a father, a practicing Muslim intellectual who lives his religion as a message of peace and love, and his daughter Nour, 20 years old, who decides to leave behind her home, country and friends to meet up with her husband in Iraq, who turns out to be an officer in Daesh.
