From April 19, 2015 until April 26, 2015Until April 26
CAIRO, EGYPT
Central Library of Cairo, Giza. Until April 26

Through the exhibition "On a Journey", put on by Casa Árabe in Egypt's capital city.

On April 19 in Cairo, Casa Árabe opened its exhibition titled: “On a Journey: Spanish architecture in the Arab world,” organized by the Embassy of Spain in Cairo and the University of Cairo’s Department of Architecture at the School of Engineering. The show will be on display until April 26 at the Central Library of the University of Cairo.

Amongst those shown in this exhibition, visitors can see projects by well-known architectural studios such as Nieto Sobejano, Fenwick Irribarren, Lamela, César Ruiz Larrea, Rafael de la Hoz and Campo Baeza, alongside another series of younger studios which have committed to internationalization in the Arab world, as is the case with AGI Arquitectos, Hadit and AV62. Also represented are some of Spain’s most significant engineering firms: Alatec, Sener, Idom and TYPSA, all present in the Arab world for several decades now.

This exhibition is intended not only as an acknowledgment of the work by our professionals when working abroad, upholding such important values as competitiveness and creativity, but also intends to draw attention to the great potential offered by the region of North Africa and the Middle East for architecture professionals.
