On November 20, Casa Árabe is hosting this conference about the Azerbaijani philosopher and poet at its Madrid headquarters, to mark the 650th anniversary of his birth.

The poetry of Imadeddin Nasimi (1369-1417), which enshrines humanistic ideals, is a unique phenomenon in the history of world literature. As the founder of Azerbaijani poetry, Nasimi holds a notable place not only in the history of Azerbaijan’s culture, but also in that of the entire Turkmen world, as he wrote his works in several languages: Azerbaijani, Arabic and Persian.
