Registration is now open for this round table discussion, organized by UNICEF at the Casa Árabe headquarters in Madrid on May 4.

UNICEF’s Spanish Committee has organized this round table discussion on the situation among migrant children in the Mediterranean region, with the cooperation of the Human Rights Office of Spain’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation and Casa Árabe.

The round table discussion, which is open to the public, is being held on the occasion of the International Consultation about the new Joint General Observation being performed by the Children’s Rights Committee and the Committee for the Protection of the Rights of all Migrant Workers and their family members, also to be hosted by Casa Árabe on these days at its headquarters in Madrid. The consultation will place a special focus on the Mediterranean region, bringing together international experts from public entities, international organizations, civil society organizations and representatives of the academic world.

The round table discussion will begin with several framework presentations, after which a debate and exchange will take place with members of the two committees, along with other relevant experts.

Further details about the event in the upcoming weeks.
