Seminar of CEDAR network in Casa Árabe

Casa Árabe TV shows the videos of the seminar of CEDAR network, which took place in Madrid on October 30th with the organization of Casa Árabe and the Institute for Strategic Dialogue. CEDAR is the first European network of Muslim professionals created by the Institute for Strategic Dialogue and Salzburg Global Seminar in 2008, as a result of a series of international seminars.

This initiative want to represent a generation, increasingly numerous, of professional young Muslims people of success in Europe and to reinforce their influence in more wide professional and political networks.

The first part of this video shows the presentation of the seminar of CEDAR network with Gema Martín Muñoz, Casa Árabe's Director General, Sasha Havlicek; Institute for Strategic Dialogue's Executive Director; Rooful Ali, CEDAR's president; Parvin Ali, CEDAR's women group's president; and Zahed Amanullah, CEDAR Media Group's copresident. There is also a lecture by Estrella Rodríguez Pardo, General manager of Integration of the Immigrants.

The second part includes the round-table Muslims and minorities: an aspect ignored in Europe? The participants in the round table were Asad Ahmad, journalist and anchorman of the BBC (moderator); Mohamed Dahiri, general coordinator of Social Well-being, Defense of the Consumer and Public Health, town hall of Cordova; Amr Khaled, preacher and activist; Mahinur Özdemir, parliamentary, Belgium; and Farah Pandith, special representative of United States for the Moslem Communities.

Finally, in the third video you can whatch the projection of the short film European Muslim Women; Breaking New Ground and of its presentation at the expense of Kristiane Backer, authoress of From MTV to Mecca.
