On Saturday, February 16, Héctor Urién will be returning to our
headquarters in Cordoba to delight us with tales related to “symbols”
in The Arabian Nights
One of the features which is most surprising to us when we listen to many of the tales is the characters’ ingenuity, their ability to deal with situations, putting to the test not only the individuals in the story which is being told, but also ourselves, as we suddenly get wrapped up in the game, analyzing options and seeking responses. Arab storytelling has delved deep into this type of fiction, and in The Arabian Nights it can be found in abundance. It is a show of ingenuity, thus, that also provides entertainment for the clear mind, taking it on a round-trip tour ended with the relief of finding answers to the many questions brought up.
