Al-Andalus Poetry: Arab women poets
To help celebrate Book Day, Prof. Juan Martos Quesada will be giving
this virtual conference on Thursday, April 21. It is being held as part
of the Bibliobuses Reading Club run by the Provincial Government Office
of Segovia.

At the conference, he will be perform an overview of the features of Arabic poetry, within the field of literature, as well as the specific nature of poetic creations by women in the Arab world, with a special focus on Al-Andalus. All this is done with the goal of discussing a selection of women poets, their lives, their circumstances and their poems.
