Feminist cooperation to stop violence against women and girls around the world 

On Friday, November 25, Casa Árabe is hosting this conference at its headquarters in Madrid. It has been organized by Spain’s Secretary of State for International Cooperation. Casa Árabe’s Director General, Irene Lozano, will be taking part in the opening session.

To mark the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, celebrated annually on November 25, Spain’s State Secretariat for International Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation (MAEUEC) have organized the conference “Feminist cooperation to stop violence against women and girls around the world.”

The course will be held from 9:am. to 1:30 pm at Casa Árabe’s headquarters in Madrid (at Calle Alcalá, 62), and will include an opening round table about the “Fight against forced marriages”; a second round table on “Violence against women on the move” and a closing ceremony to include the reading of a manifesto and a minute of silence.

The opening session will be attended by Spain’s State Secretary of Foreign and Global Affairs, Ángeles Moreno Bau, the State Secretary for International Cooperation, Pilar Cancela Rodríguez, and the Casa Árabe’s General Director, Irene Lozano.
