The humanitarian crisis in the Middle East: Spotlight on Disability

A photography exhibition of the Social Promotion of Culture Foundation

December 10, 2014
MADRID
At its headquarters in Madrid, from December 15-19, Casa Árabe will be hosting this exhibition, which consists of 50 photographs and an audiovisual installation whose protagonists are people with disabilities in the Middle East, a population especially affected by the humanitarian crisis that has been produced by the conflict in Syria, not only within that country, but throughout the entire region.
The exhibition attempts to bear witness to the harsh reality that people with disabilities must face in the Middle East, as well as showing support for their cause and that of all the people who fight to improve their access to human rights in Syria, Lebanon, Jordan and Egypt.

The exhibition opening event is taking place on Monday, December 15 at 7:30 p.m. in the Hall of Columns at Casa Árabe (at Calle Alcalá, 62). Free entry until the event’s capacity is reached.
