The SEEA Award of 2016 is now accepting candidacies from new researchers  

The Spanish Society of Arab Studies (SEEA), with the sponsorship of Casa Árabe, has announced that it is now accepting candidacies for the “SEEA Award of 2016 for new researchers”.

The award is given out to university degree holders and graduates, under the age of 35, from Spanish universities who have earned their degree in the five years preceding the award notice date. 

Likewise, candidates may also apply for the award if they are under 35 years old and students of Master’s degree or doctorate programs at Spanish universities on the award notice date, regardless of their graduation or degree year, and those ERASMUS students studying under a Spanish program, provided that they do not earn their PhD prior to November 26, 2016.


A First Prize, offered by Casa Árabe, comes with a gross reward of €1,000. The deadline for candidates to submit their applications is July 15, 2016.
