Twenty-second SEEA Symposium

On October 3, the Spanish Society of Arab Studies’ Award for Young Researchers will be given in Almería.

From October 2-4, the Museum of Almería is hosting the annual symposium of the Spanish Society of Arab Studies (SEEA), to which Casa Árabe has contributed for yet another year by subsidizing the Young Researchers’ Award.

At this edition, the three works selected to vie for the award are:
- Clarisa Danae Fonseca Azuara: “Art and Nationalism: The representation of the Palestinian nation in the work of Mansour, Anani and Al Muzayen.”
- Samuel Alberto Lagos Aguilar: “Comparative Study of Qur’an Translations: A critique of the Catalan version.”
- María González Flores: “Al-Kahina: Approaching her historical figure and social projection.”

The presentation of these works will be taking place on October 3 at 9:30 a.m. at the Museum of Almería (address: Carretera de Ronda, 91. Entrance on Hermanos Pinzón).
