"Alchemical Origins of Homeopathy and Floral Essence Therapy"

The journalist and homeopath Ángel Alcalá Malavé exposes on his last essay "Alchemical Origins of Homeopathy and Floral Essence Therapy. From Egypt to Plato; from al-Andalus to Edward Bach" that the origins of the homeopathy and flower therapy are in vegetal alchemy, a discipline that even the ancient Egyptians practiced and which was transmitted throughout history in the different civilizations up to our days.
Born in Malaga, in 1968. Homeopath and journalist, Ángel Alcalá was chair professor of Philosophy of Communication and Public Opinion at the University of Piura (Peru), former correspondent of El Mundo in that Andean country, and has written six books. Four essay books: "España o la conciencia maltratada" (ed. Algazara, 1997), where he analyzes the cyclical repetition of seven myths of the collective unconscious: Don Juan, picaresque, quixotism, flamenco (fate), grotesque, bullfighting and mysticism with its reflect on in Latin America; "Mitología inconsciente de Pablo Picasso" (2004), archetypal Jungian analysis of the mythological unconscious of the genius from Malaga, through his home sky map; "Catasterismos" (2006), mithological essay on literary critics, totally innovative, up to the point of constituting an unexplored literary gender; and the novel "Huancabamba" (ed. El Andén, 2008), where he reflects from the stance of an Indian on the image of Spain, the identity and the mask, the time and the labyrinth, reality and appearances, enigma hold with its main character Lucho Condorcanqui as book co-author, unique example in Literature.
In 2011, he published “Alchemical Origins of Homeopathy and Floral Essence Therapy. From Egypt to Plato; from al-Andalus to Edward Bach”, where he shows how the hermetic philosophy nourished all the great philosophers in History up to the Andalusian Spain, where the vegetal Alchemy was developed, being the mother of current homeopathy and flower therapy. In 2012 he published his first poem collection, "Oculta sinfonía de la nada", which serves as a confirmation of his original and innovative literary speech in poetry, essay and novel. He contributes regularly with press, radio and television.
The activity will take place the 10th October at Casa Árabe’s Auditorium in Córdoba at 19.30. Free entrance.
