On Thursday, June 3 we are hosting this magic show in Cordoba, to be
given by Francisco Santofimia Dávila (Teatro Avanti). Tickets can now be
purchased on this website.
Flain Ibn ‘Abd al-Malik, a relative of Abderraman III (eighth and last independent emir and first Umayyad caliph of Cordoba), will take us into a fantasy world of magic through this show. Silks will change color, water will become an endless font, predictions, apparitions and even disappearances will occur. It is a visual show guided by this fictional character that will transport us in a humorous way to the magical nights of Al-Andalus.
Teatro Avanti
A project created with the goal of complementing the cultural proposals in Andalusia. Since 2006, the Avanti collective has been the manager of the Avanti Theater, whose priority is the use of a stage space in Cordoba and the creation of stage productions that contribute to enriching and furthering the world of culture.
Francisco Santofimia Dávila
After entering the School of Dramatic Art of Cordoba in 1991, he began to stage his magic show at different theaters in the city, for both children and adults. He took part in several plays, operas and zarzuelas during his time at the School of Dramatic Art, also studying the technical side of theater. He premiered the show “Fran Flain & Isabella” (Directily from Norway) in Madrid, in one of the best magic halls in Europe, the “Sala Houdini,” and it was extended several months. It is also worth mentioning his performances at the Gran Teatro de Córdoba in the “Bulevar Teatro” (February, 1998) spaces and in the Magic Gala held at the same theater on the occasion of the “First Magic Festival of Cordoba” (November 2006). He has participated in countless events, festivals and magic congresses both in Spain and abroad, working with some which are very renowned, such as Almussafes International Magic Festival, the Hocus Pocus International Festival in Granada or Magia Ávila, in addition to others. He has contributed to various local, regional and national radio and television channels, highlighting his own space “El rincón mágico de Flain” during the children’s program “La Banda” broadcast by Canal Sur Television, from 1998 to 2006. He currently continues to tour with the productions of Teatro Avanti, of which he is a founding member.
