"School, Community and Interculturalism" Work Group

On February 25th in Cordoba, Casa Árabe has organized a work group titled "School, Community and Interculturalism," which will be headed by Inmaculada Antolinez Domínguez, a professor at the Universidad Pablo de Olavide.

The work session will be held from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at the Casa Árabe headquarters in Cordoba (at Calle Samuel de los Santos Gener, 9). Within the framework of the research, development and innovation project “School, Community and Interculturalism titled “Study of the Intercultural and Inter-agent processes in cultural diversity at educational centers,” subsidized by the Ministry of Science and Innovation (National R+D+I Plan for 2011-2013), and in which Casa Árabe participates as an Observer Promoting Entity (EPO), Professor Inmaculada Antolínez Domínguez shall analyze, in the form of a work session, a few of the essential concepts which are handled in research, development and innovation, placing a special emphasis on the concepts of interculturalism and community in schools. The work will be participatory and dynamic, contributing examples which make it possible to establish dialogue amongst all those taking part.

Doctor of the Universidad Pablo de Olavide, her main lines of research are focused on intercultural education, intercultural bilingual education, educational policies and exclusion.
