At the ninth edition of the White Night of Flamenco, Casa Árabe is organizing this concert, to be held during the night of June 18 to 19.

“Yocanto Al-Andalus” is the title of this show, which the artistic group Yocanto, directed by Manuel Ruiz Queco and David Pino, will be presenting on June 18, 2016 as part of the Ninth White Night of Flamenco in Cordoba. This flamenco-Andalusi show is based on great historical flamenco works in compositions created with the perspective of Al-Andalus in mind, including either texts by Arab poets or music from that place and time. On this occasion, the artistic training school Yocanto began a selection process to find eight flamenco voices belonging to new performers from all over Andalusia (Malaga, Écija, Jaén, Cadiz, Chiclana and Cordoba). Accompanying them with the violin, percussion, vocals, Arabic oud and “kanud” are three well-known performers of Moroccan origin. 

Prior to this, on June 17 at 8:00 p.m., Casa Árabe will be opening its doors to the public for the concert rehearsal, which the group Yocanto is preparing or the ninth edition of the White Night of Flamenco in Cordoba.
