3rd Edition of the Palestinian Film Festival in Madrid

Once more, Casa Árabe collaborates with the 3rd Edition of the Palestinian Film Festival in Madrid screening Ford Transit, a film directed by Hany Abu Assad and awarded by the Sundance festival. It takes place on Friday November 30th.
The Festival starts on November 23rd and ends on December 9th and this edition is focused on fiction cinema. There will be ten premieres in Spain. Aimed to spread Palestinian cultural richness, the films are from filmmakers such as Elia Suleiman, Hany Abu Assad, Tawfik Abu Wael, Annamarie Jacir, Cherien Dabis, Najwa Najjar, Kamal Aljafari, Yahya Al-Abdallah, Mahdi Fleifel, Larissa Sansour, Hisham Zreiq and Ossama Bawardi.
Ford Transit, by Hany Abu Asad (Palestine, 2002, 80 minutes)
The movie follows Rajai, a Ford Transit driver which is the most popular transportation in the West Bank, who serves as guide of the human and territory geography between Ramallah and Jerusalem. Hany Abu Asad is author of Paradise Now, which was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film in 2004.
Screenings take place at Casa Árabe’s Auditorium in Madrid (c/ Alcalá, 62) at 19.30. Original version with subtitles in Spanish and ticket price is €4. Tickets are numbered and there are two seats reserved for handicap people. To buy the tickets see next and on the venue an hour before the screening.
