Agreement with the Moroccan Chamber of Commerce
From July 31, 2012 until September 10, 2012
The signing of the collaboration agreement between the Moroccan Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services in Spain (CCISME) and Casa Árabe established the basis to develop joint projects and activities in the areas of commercial cooperation, investment, and training and also to raise awareness in order to foster the economic relations between Morocco and Spain.
Casa Árabe and CCISME signed on July 16th a collaboration agreement in order to boost the organisation of joint projects and activities. A cycle of three business meetings which took place this autumn was one of the main projects of it.
The topics treated in these three conferences were the cultural industry, the development of the Moroccan northern area and the devolution process of Morocco, respectively. Their main aim was to examine the growth opportunities and the potential cooperation that Spanish businesses may find in Morocco.
The president of CCISME, Leila Hayat, and the director general of Casa Árabe, Eduardo López Busquets, signed this agreement during a working meeting held by both institutions. The objective which was made clear in this meeting was establishing a collaboration framework to organize projects and activities of commercial and investment promotion and cooperation, as well as informative and training actions and also to raise the awareness of Spanish businesses regarding Morocco. All these activities aimed to promote, foster and develop the economic and commercial relations between Morocco and Spain.
The participants in the meeting on behalf of CCISME were its vice-presidents Ramón Enciso –coordinator of the Averroes Committee- and Abel El Kirmani –president of New Point-; and its members Nestor Montoya –responsible of the Corporate Banking in Madrid of Attijariwafa Bank Europe- and Victor del Campo –president of Temas de Arte. Representing the member institutions of the Chamber, the participants were Mohamed Baddi (Embassy of Morocco in Spain), Fahd El Achkar (AMDI), as well as Xavier Gangonells, director of the communication area of the Moroccan Chamber in Spain and partner of CLOTET Communication and Public Relations.
