Arab and Mediterranean Film Festival of Catalonia

Casa Árabe collaborates with the Arab and Mediterranean Film Festival of Catalonia 4th Edition, within the frame of the Documentary Looks season.
From October 11th to November 8th, three films will be screened from previous editions on Syria, Algeria and Lebanon, which tackle such important topics as Syrian Baaz party, the role of the woman in Algeria or the view of the women of Hezbollah into the fight to free Palestine.
The Festival has been organized by the NGO SODEPAU in collaboration with the Filmoteca de Cataluña.
Thursday October 11th: A Flood in Baath Country, by Omar Amiralay (Syria, 2002, 46 minutes)
Thursday October 25th: Letter to my Sister, by Habiba Djahnine (Algeria and France, 2006, 68 minutes)
Thursday November 8th: The Women of Hezbollah, by Maher Abi Samra (Lebanon, 2001, 52 minutes).
Screenings take place at Casa Elizalde (c/ València, 302) in Barcelona at 19.30.
