The Hispanic-Muslim music shows an example of cultural symbiosis with rich fruits mixing both Muslim and Christian achievements in the Andalusian melting pot for more than seven centuries. THURSDAY DECEMBER 2: El Arabi Ensemble and Eduardo Paniagua Concert. Sufi-Andalusí chanting

The compilations of poems that were heard in the Andalusian núbas, originally from Morocco, are partially gathered in the works of Ibn al-Jatib and some other poets. Preserved through the oral tradition, they have become anonym poems that children, women and men recite without knowing the original author. A master-to-pupil living tradition for 700 years, due to the love the Andalusían musicians devoted to their art.

Place: All the concerts will be played at the Auditorium of the Museum of the Archeological Site of Madinat al-Zahra (Ctra. Palma del Río, Km. 5,5 Cordoba). All the concerts will take place at 20.00, except the concert of Karima Skalli (21.00). Free entrance.
