Arabic language and calligraphy workshop to end the school year

On June 22 and 24, Casa Árabe has organized a workshop for third and
fourth year primary school students at the CEIP San Benito public school.
As part of the school’s cultural week on diversity, Casa Árabe organized a talk/workshop on “The Arabic language, history and calligraphy” for third and fourth grade students at CEIP San Benito school, on June 22 and 24 at the institution’s headquarters in Madrid.
The workshop, given by Saida Chermiti, head of Casa Árabe’s Arabic Language Center, and Dima Raghis, a teacher at the center and a poet, included an introduction to the Arabic language, its origins, history and evolution, a brief introduction to the Arabic alphabet, and a calligraphy workshop at which the children learned to write their names, as well as paying a visit to Casa Árabe’s facilities.
