Call for participation in MOSAÏC project activities

CORDOBA
Casa Árabe is inviting 15 young people between the ages of 16 and 25 from Cordoba to take part in the activities in the MOSAÏC project, the purpose of which is to learn more about, explore and strengthen Arab identity and culture in Europe. The initiative forms part of the European program Erasmus+ Small Scale Partnerships in Youth, in collaboration with the Andalusian Youth Institute of Cordoba (IAJ).
This project, run by Amal for Education (Rome, Italy) is supported by Casa Árabe (Cordoba, Spain), Insani Yardim Kilis Subesi (Turkey) and Generation Change (Malta), providing the opportunity to participate in a European project, working together with other young people from Italy, Malta and Turkey. The main goals are as follows: raising awareness about the importance and scope of the Arab legacy in Europe, training participants on this subject matter, and encouraging the participation of young people.
Casa Árabe will cover the costs of organization and participation in all activities.
Project objectives:
- Increasing visibility and raising awareness of the importance and scope of the Arab legacy in Europe.
- Strengthening the young participants’ digital skills.
- Encouraging the appropriation of the Arab legacy as a form of shared European heritage.
Activities in which you can participate:
1. Workshops on cultural exploration and mapping of the legacy of Al-Andalus
Duration: 4 workshops from March to June 2025 (15 hours in all).
Participants: no fewer than 15 youths between the ages of 16 and 25 years old.
Description: These workshops will focus on exploring and mapping the cultural legacy of Al-Andalus in Cordoba. Visits will be made to historical sites related to this legacy in and around Cordoba, and participants will get the chance to discover the rich history of Al-Andalus.
2. Digital storytelling and video podcast production workshops
Duration: 4 workshops from September to December 2025 (18 hours in all).
Participants: no fewer than 15 youths between the ages of 16 and 25 years old.
Description: At these workshops, participants will learn how to tell stories online and create video podcasts. Through creative activities, the young people taking part will develop audiovisual production skills and learn how to spread their own narratives about the Arab legacy.
Why participate?
This is a unique opportunity to participate in a European project, get free training from specialists, collaborate with other young people from Italy, Malta and Turkey, and actively explore the Arab heritage to be found in Europe. Plus, you will acquire valuable skills in fields such as digital production, teamwork and intercultural dialogue.
At the end of the workshops, Casa Árabe will be awarding a diploma to each participant.
How can you take part?
If you are young, between the age of 16 and 25, live in Cordoba and are interested in participating in the MOSAIC project, we encourage you to apply!
The activities are completely free of charge and will provide participants with the opportunity to acquire knowledge about Arab history and culture, as well as improving their digital and audiovisual production skills.

Applications can be submitted until May 15, 2025.
