For yet another year, Casa Árabe is joining the commemoration of World Art Day with an art intervention by creator Mosa One at the Patio de la Palmera. The painting will form part of the exhibition “From Alif to Zain: Calligraphic art in motion.” Come see his work!

To mark World Art Day, Casa Árabe is hosting a new performance by multidisciplinary artist Mosa One (Rome, 1997), whose work engages with the contemporary languages of calligraphy and urban art, in harmony with the curatorial themes of the exhibition currently under way.

The project which the artist will be presenting on this occasion represents an evolved shift from his previous works, incorporating a new piece in which the figure of the dove takes on a central role.

The intervention will be taking place in the Patio de la Palmera at Casa Árabe, where the audience can witness his creation process on Friday, April 17, and throughout the morning of Saturday, April 18. Once completed, the piece will remain on display inside this space throughout the duration of the exhibition.

This intervention comes in addition to the international celebration of World Art Day and complements the discourse to be found in the exhibition “From Alif to Zain: Calligraphic art in motion.” It brings together the work of nine artists and explores the vitality and transformation of Arabic calligraphy in contemporary art.
