Madrid is the only European capital founded by Arabs, and this idea has inspired the people at Mico Arquitectura to propose a workshop titled “A New Medina for Madrid,” which consists of producing models of buildings with traditional Arab architecture. Once completed, all of the models will form part of a new “medina.”

Mico Arquitectura is an interdisciplinary group of women architects and teachers who work on educational architecture, using space and play as learning tools to learn how to live together with our surrounding environment and our heritage.

The workshop is intended for children from 6 to 12 years old and lasts approximately two hours. Limited number of students.

In addition to participating through this workshop, Casa Árabe will be present at La Navideña, Madrid’s International Fair of Cultures with a stand of its own (number 8), where you can find information and publications on the Arab and Islamic world.
