Casa Árabe is cooperating with the Cinema Forum organized by the Euro-Arab Center of Catalonia, with the collaboration of Barcelona’s Association of Moroccan Students, on the June 27 screening of the documentary film Abd el-Krim and the Rif War.
In addition to this documentary, the following will be shown: J’ai vu tuer Ben Barka (I Saw Ben Barka Get Killed) and Los días de Sadat (The Days of Sadat). After each movie, a debate will be held amongst those attending.
Thursday, May 30 at 7:00 p.m.
Hanan Ashrawi, a Woman of Her Time, by Mai Masri (Lebanon, 1995, 50 min.).
Ashrawi emerged as an important Palestinian leader in the first Intifada and became quite a persuasive voice on the international scene as a spokeswoman for the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO) during the Oslo negotiations. Director Mai Masri explores her personality beyond just her political and intellectual profile.
Thursday 27 June at 7:00 p.m.
Abd el-Krim and the Rif War, by Daniel Cling (France, 2010, 52 min.).

The screening will take place at the Euro-Arab Center of Catalonia (at Carrer Moià, 8. CP 08006, Barcelona). The films will be shown in the original language version with subtitles in Spanish. Tickets are free, after confirming attendance via e-mail at: info@centre-euroarab.cat or by calling telephone number: 93 245 49 15
