On Thursday, March 12, Casa Árabe has organized this conference in
Cordoba, to be given by Pablo Sánchez Chillón, a lawyer and expert on
Public Law, Urban Diplomacy and Public Affairs.
The event will be presented by Enrique Benítez Palma, an economist and advisor for the Accounts Office of Andalusia, and Javier Rosón, Casa Árabe’s coordinator.
Pablo Sánchez Chillón will be explaining his viewpoint about how Africa is facing a unique era of development, with countries like Morocco taking on the role of influential economic powers on the continent. The strengthening of solid cooperation networks based on the South-South vision, the creation of strategies for political and religious influence of a continental scope and the growing economic and cultural exchanges amongst countries in the region all foretell a period of growth and opportunities which Spain, as a privileged neighbor in the region, cannot remain on the sidelines of. Within this scenario that seems to indicate an improvement in living conditions and income in North Africa, an increase in tourists originating from the region and the expansion of intangible assets arriving from the territory as competitive factors, Cordoba, as a symbolic capital for dialogue and tolerance among cultures, must take full advantage of its potential in order to benefit from this equation of progress and development on both shores.
