City escape game: “Cordoba Courtyards: Let the games begin in the courtyards”

For yet another year, Casa Árabe has become the setting for a “scavenger hunt” held among students from different schools in the city, participating in this initiative by the Cordoba City Council to mark the occasion of the Cordoba Courtyards Festival.
On the occasion of the celebrations linked to the Cordoba Courtyards Festival, Casa Árabe will once again betaking part in the program included in the “Get to Know the Courtyards of Cordoba” program put on by the Cordoba City Council. It will be taking place on Monday, May 12, with the participation of students from different city schools.
In this way, Casa Árabe will be continuing its collaboration with the Cordoba City Council’s Department of Education and Children’s Services at yet another edition of the educational program “Get to Know the Courtyards of Cordoba,” the purpose of which is to teach students about aspects related with the festival, including folk architecture, history, the wealth of local plant life and the community spirit that arises on the festival dates.
The program includes workshops on “Courtyards Through the Senses,” “Life and Customs in the Courtyards,” guided tours of actual courtyards, the “Thirteenth Annual Cordoba Courtyards in Schools Competition” and, as the final big event, the “Courtyards of Cordoba City Escape Game: Let the game begin in the courtyards,” a game in which clues are given to students, who become UNESCO research officers who must find a hidden priceless flower in the neighborhood of San Basilio - Alcázar Viejo.
This proposal was created for the Department of Education and Children’s Affairs by Cordoba consultant Zumaya, and was showcased by Gloria Pareja.
