Are you interested in the art of Al-Andalus? Come join this special session to learn how to draw an emblematic architectural feature from the Cordoba Mosque: the horseshoe arch and polylobed arches characteristic of Islamic art in Al-Andalus.
During the workshop, we will be exploring the changes in such arches across different civilizations, with special attention to the Moorish arches of the Puerta del Espíritu Santo, located on the western façade of the Great Mosque of Cordoba (the Mosque-Cathedral), one of the main symbols of the city’s cultural and artistic splendor during the Caliphate.
In the end, each participant will get to create their own artistic interpretation of the arch, guided step by step in an accessible and enriching environment.
