Exhibition Jerusalem at the beginning of the 20th Century
From September 21, 2010 until November 15, 2010
Casa Árabe brings to Córdoba the exhibition Jerusalem at the beginning of the 20th Century. Patrimony and culture from 14th October to 15th November.
Casa Árabe organizes this exhibition in collaboration with the cultural delegation of the Regional Government of Andalucia in Córdoba. It brings the history of the city of Jerusalem closer through ancient photographs and traditional clothing.
Most of the photographs belong to the first two decades of the 20th century and come from the bibliographic archive of the École Biblique et Archeologique Française (Biblical and Archeological French School). The traditional clothing comes from the personal collection of Spanish ambassador Juan Durán-Loriga and allows us to admire the embroidered technique from the different regions of Palestine, marked by the use of bright colours in complex geometrical designs and flower forms.
Place: Teatro Cómico Principal in Cordoba (c/ Ambrosio de Morales, 15).
Time: Monday to Friday, from 10.00 to 14.00 and from 17.00 to 20.00; Saturdays, from 10.00 to 14.00. Free admission.
