Fifth International Poetic February Festival (FIFP) East - West

The fifth edition of FIFP, coordinated by Iraqi-born poet Abdul Hadi Sadoun, will be devoted to the meeting points between East and West. It will include the participation of 22 poets from Argentina, Colombia, Cuba, Chile, China, Spain, Iraq, Morocco, Nepal, New Zealand, Peru, Serbia, Syria and Uruguay.

Each edition has been dedicated to a specific poet or theme, including Bécquer, Cervantes, Assayab and Ibn Zaydun; 2022 will be the turn for a woman’s poetic voice, that of Enheduana, a Mesopotamian writer considered the oldest known poet in history and “High Priestess” at the temple of the god Nannar (the Moon).

The event will feature a musical performance by Marisa Cortés (Argentina), with a showing of short poetry videos (by Charles Olsen and Lilian Pallares).
