In the middle of the night on June 15, Casa Árabe will be hosting this show by José Manuel Tudela as part of the White Night of Flamenco organized by the Municipal Government of Cordoba.

“Terciopelo” (“Velvet”), the first work by Floreo Producciones, is José Manuel Tudela’s autobiographical journey from childhood to the present, a gentle stroll through the emotions and experiences that have marked the guitarist’s life from the Sevillian neighborhood of Cerro del Águila until becoming one of the most sought after artists on the national scene, a story that will be accompanied by singing and dancing.

“Terciopelo” is the essence of what he has lived, his memories, his viewpoints and the sensations he has felt, including everything that keeps us awake and excited, such as love.

The music in this show is what breathes life into it, with feelings converging in Moorish, Arab and Sephardic music criss-crossing the heart. So many beautiful things are conveyed by this music, with the sounds and voices of his songs.

Set in an old place, an attic, a place storing dreams and memories, with a simple staging containing objects covered with sheets that will gradually be revealed, one by one.

Two guitars, two flamenco singers, a percussionist, a violinist, and a male-female dancer duo will delight us during this festive night in Cordoba.
