From November 9 to 12, Casa Árabe will be hosting this sound
installation in Cordoba, as part of the TBA21-Academy’s “An Ocean
Without a Shore” festival. On Thursday, November 10, the artist will be
giving a presentation to the audience, and there will be a listening
session.
The six-channel sound installation can be visited at Casa Árabe’s Palm Courtyard from November 9 to 12 during “An Ocean Without a Shore,” a festival organized by TBA21-Academy and curated by Sofia Lemos. You can also listen to it online at Ocean-Archive.org.
The installation marks a new chapter in “Shadow Writing,” a long-term investigation by Sandoval exploring divergent genealogies in the relationships between computing, image production and textile fabrication.
On November 10, 2022, at 6:00 p.m., the artist will delve further into this sound piece with a talk and a listening session.
