García-Margallo presents: "The Spanish Protectorate in Morocco: History Transcended"
From November 19, 2013 until November 26, 2013
Spain’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation presented this book published under the auspices of Iberdrola at the Casa Árabe headquarters in Madrid. Participating in the event were Eduardo Torres-Dulce Lifante, the State’s Attorney General; Ignacio Sánchez Galán, President of Iberdrola; Manuel Aragón Reyes, a Tenured Professor of Constitutional Law at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, and Eduardo López Busquets, the General Director of Casa Árabe.
This publication forms part of the centennial of the creation of the Spanish protectorate in Morocco (1912-1956) and takes a closer look at one of the most important periods in the history of both countries from political, military, legal, social and cultural perspectives. This editorial project was directed by Manuel Aragón, a Professor of Constitutional Law at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, and coordinated by Manuel Gahete and Fatíja Benlabáj. It included contributions by 70 authors and experts, including the Attorney General of the Spanish State, Eduardo Torres-Dulce.
On the occasion of the publication, a full website has been created at www.lahistoriatrascendida.es to contribute not only to disseminating its contents, but also to providing information on the events which took place during this period of history.
This presentation took place on Wednesday, November 6 at 6:30 p.m.
